At the Kilkenny Food Innovation Network product launch last Saturday in the Castleyard in Castlecomer, 12 food producers unveiled new products to an invited audience of industry experts, restauranteurs, food writers, and food lovers! All were presented as tasting plates and each producer then made a presentation about the product during the tasting sessions.
The venue was amazing a real assest to the village, and the whole event was really well organised by Kilkenny Enterprise Board.
Cramer’s Grove Ice-Cream Cake was awarded Most Commercial New Product, and Tasteworks Handmade Pure Butter Shortcrust Pastry Dough in four different variations was awarded Most Innovative New Product.
A great day and the Savour Festival was fantastic this year – with visitor numbers way up on last year and lots of great events during the three days.
